Job Description

Change Lives. Build Relationships. Earn Big.

At Solano Law Firm, we're not just helping clients file paperwork—we're helping families create a better future.

As a Consultation Specialist, you'll be one of the most important people in a client's journey. You'll meet with prospective clients, learn their stories, help them understand their options, and guide them toward taking the next step in their immigration case.

This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys the challenge of turning conversations into meaningful outcomes. Every day is different, every client has a unique story, and every successful consultation has the potential to change a family's future.

Bilingual Requirement: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. The majority of clients are Spanish-speaking immigrants and their families. Consultation Specialists must be able to confidently conduct consultations, build relationships, explain processes, answer questions, and communicate professionally in both English and Spanish without the assistance of a translator.

If you're not fully fluent in both languages, this position will not be the right fit.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct immigration consultations with prospective clients
  • Build trust and rapport with individuals and families seeking legal help
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover needs and identify opportunities for legal review
  • Educate clients on the firm's process and potential pathways under attorney supervision
  • Handle questions and objections with confidence and professionalism
  • Follow up with prospective clients and guide them through the decision-making process
  • Deliver a high-touch, white-glove client experience from start to finish
  • Partner closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure clients receive the support they need

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

This is  not a call center role.

Our best Consultation Specialists combine:

  • Empathy with confidence
  • Structure with warmth
  • Sales ability with integrity
  • Curiosity with strong listening skills
  • The ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • A genuine desire to help families navigate important life decisions

Important Note: You will not provide legal advice or represent yourself as an attorney. Your role is to gather information, educate clients about the firm's process, identify opportunities for attorney review, and help qualified prospects move forward with representation.

Schedule & Work Expectations

  • Full-time, in-office position in Birmingham, Alabama
  • Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Eastern Time

Although based in Birmingham, Solano Law Firm operates company-wide on Eastern Time, and all team members follow the same schedule.

This is a highly community-focused position. Clients frequently visit the office in person, and you'll become a familiar face within Birmingham's immigrant community.

Remote and hybrid work are not available for this role.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $45,000–$50,000
  • Performance-Based Bonus Structure tied to revenue collected and client deposits
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $70,000–$100,000+ annually
  • Top performers regularly earn over $90,000 per year.

Why Solano Law Firm?

At Solano Law Firm, you'll join a mission-driven team that genuinely cares about helping immigrant families build a better future. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, develop valuable sales and client-relations skills, and grow your career while being rewarded for your performance.

You'll work directly with individuals and families who are looking for guidance, hope, and a path forward—and you'll play a critical role in helping them take that next step.

If you're motivated, people-focused, bilingual in English and Spanish, and excited by the opportunity to change lives while building a successful career, we'd love to meet you.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $100,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of consultation outcomes

  • Track outcomes, next steps, and follow-up activities

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in daily huddles, coaching sessions, call reviews, and team trainings
  • Share client insights and trends with leadership
  • Contribute to continuous improvement

Performance Expectations (KPIs)

This is a high-accountability, performance-driven role.

  • First 90 days: Perform, Own Results, Become a Top Contributor, Operate fully autonomously. Meet or exceed 30% same-day and 60% overall conversion. Become known for accountability, ownership, and client trust.
Qualifications:

Required

  • Native or professional-level fluency in Spanish and English
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in consultative sales, sales, legal intake, customer success, or other high-touch client-facing roles. Experience may be from any industry; immigration law experience is preferred, but not required
  • Proven history of meeting performance and conversion goals
  • Exceptional communication and objection-handling skills
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Comfortable discussing financial commitments and guiding client decisions
  • Willing to work Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM ET, in-office in Birmingham

Preferred

  • Immigration law or immigration consultation experience (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with HubSpot, CTM, Zoom, or similar CRM systems
  • Consultative sales experience
  • Experience navigating emotionally sensitive conversations

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Builds trust quickly and is naturally personable
  • Knows how to lead conversations and read a room
  • Balances empathy with accountability
  • Performs well under pressure and ownership
  • Loves helping people while driving measurable results
  • Takes ownership instead of making excuses
