Job Description

We are seeking a detail oriented Staff Accountant for a contract assignment to support our client’s accounting team during a busy period. This role will focus on core accounting functions, month end support, and ensuring accuracy across financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Help with accruals, prepaids, and expense tracking
• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Partner with internal teams to gather information and support accounting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with month end close and general ledger accounting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)
